Many of our enterprise and professional service clients manage thousands of documents across multiple client relationships. Uploading, categorizing, and assigning these files one by one through the web application can be time-consuming, especially when teams are migrating data or onboarding large volumes of client content.
The Desktop App was built to solve that challenge. It acts as a local companion to the SideDrawer web app, running directly on Windows or macOS systems to give authorized users a faster, more efficient way to move files from their local network into the SideDrawer platform, securely and at scale. The Desktop V2 brings massive benefits over previous version with streamlined file syncs and huge performance improvements.
Upload hundreds or thousands of files at once, directly into pre-configured SideDrawers. The intuitive drag-and-drop interface minimizes manual effort while preserving folder structures for easy organization.
Distribute documents across multiple SideDrawers simultaneously making it ideal for organizations managing large client bases, compliance reporting, or recurring document sharing cycles.
Desktop V2 leverages your computer’s local processing power for faster transfers while maintaining the same bank-grade encryption and access controls you expect from the SideDrawer platform.
Desktop V2 is available exclusively to Business subscription accounts and can be accessed by Tenant Managers and Owner-level users. This ensures that only designated administrators within your organization have the ability to execute high-volume uploads and distribution tasks.
Once installed and authenticated, Desktop V2 works hand-in-glove with your SideDrawer web application. You log in with your credentials, map local upload paths to SideDrawer client folders, and push files with full metadata tagging and audit-trail support.

Install the app on your Windows (click here to download for Windows) or macOS system (click here to download for Mac).
Authenticate with your SideDrawer credentials (Business tier).
Use Open Folder, File Movement and Sync operations to send your files
Monitor progress and action responses via the upload log UI for status and retries.
