Our latest release introduces a range of enhancements across the Client Portal, Console, and Platform — from streamlined file collection workflows and advanced filtering capabilities to new Smart Form functionality for enterprise teams.

Simplifying File Collection in the Client Portal 

Tile Drag & Drop Upload

Collecting documents is now faster and more intuitive for clients.

  

Users can now drag files directly onto a Tile within the Client Portal. Once dropped, a guided modal prompts them to either select an existing Record or create a new one, helping keep uploaded information organized from the start.

  

This enhancement reduces friction during upload workflows while maintaining the structured organization firms rely on for compliance and operational efficiency.

Browser Refresh After Deployment

To ensure users always have access to the latest platform improvements and security updates, SideDrawer now notifies users when a new platform version has been deployed.

Users can choose to refresh immediately or continue working and refresh during their next login session — minimizing disruption while ensuring a seamless upgrade experience.

Console Enhancements for Operational Efficiency 

Send Menu for Information Requests & Content Packages

Console users can now initiate Information Requests and Content Package workflows directly from an enhanced Send menu experience, helping teams move faster while reducing unnecessary navigation steps.

This streamlined workflow improves operational consistency and simplifies content delivery across client engagements.

Add Collaborators to SideDrawer

Collaboration is now easier for internal teams and external stakeholders alike. Console users can now add collaborators directly at the SideDrawer level from the action menu, enabling faster onboarding and more flexible collaboration management without interrupting existing workflows.

Advanced Filtering Across Key Workflows 

Managing large volumes of requests and SideDrawers becomes significantly easier with the introduction of Advanced Filters.

Teams can now filter using multiple criteria simultaneously, including:

  • Hierarchical tags (Category → Tag → Subtag)
  • Status
  • External keys
  • Days open
  • Date ranges

Filters can be combined using AND-based logic, making it easier to quickly surface exactly the records, requests, or client workspaces needed. For firms managing high volumes of client activity, this delivers faster operational visibility and more precise workflow management.

Improved Tag Management

To support better organization and automation, SideDrawer now includes enhanced hierarchical Tag Management.

Organizations can create and manage structured taxonomies using:

  • Categories
  • Tags
  • Subtags

These hierarchies can then be applied to SideDrawers and leveraged when delivering Content Packages or Information Requests, helping teams standardize workflows while improving discoverability and consistency.

Enhanced ETL Delivery Enhancements

Our latest ETL enhancements provide greater flexibility and reliability for enterprise integrations.

Updates include support for:

  • Multiple metadata key/value pairs using AND-based matching
  • Automatic ignoring of empty columns
  • Explicit record paths
  • Optional recordSubtypeOtherName support

Secure Invitation Hash

Security remains foundational to every SideDrawer release.

Invitation emails now use hashed, time-limited, and usage-limited links instead of plain invitation codes. This enhancement reduces exposure risk while improving overall invitation security and access control.

It’s another step forward in helping organizations confidently share sensitive information with clients and collaborators.

Enterprise Enhancements: Smart Forms

Enterprise organizations now gain access to powerful new Smart Form capabilities designed to modernize structured data collection.

Build Structured Digital Forms with Smart Form Builder

Console users can now create configurable digital forms using a guided creation experience that includes:

  • Step-by-step form creation
  • Tabbed field layouts
  • Custom post-submission messaging

Forms follow a controlled lifecycle model: Draft → Published → Archived

Only published forms can be sent to clients, helping organizations maintain governance and consistency across data collection workflows.

Intelligent Smart Form Request Lifecycle Management

Smart Form Requests now support automated lifecycle controls designed to reduce operational overhead and improve governance.

Capabilities include:

  • Configurable expiration periods
  • Automatic inactivity detection and locking
  • Re-open functionality from the Console

Expired or inactive forms become read-only and are hidden from the client experience until re-opened by an administrator.

This helps teams better manage long-running workflows while maintaining tighter control over sensitive client submissions.

Manage Active and Archived Requests Separately

Enterprise teams can now manage Smart Form Requests using a dedicated dual-list interface for Active and Archived requests.

Both views support:

  • Search
  • Sorting
  • Configurable columns
  • CSV export
  • Pagination

The Active view includes in-progress and recently completed requests within a configurable retention window, while the Archived view provides access to historical records outside that window.

This structure makes it easier for operational teams to focus on current work while maintaining long-term visibility into historical activity.
